You Transformed

Matthew 4:17-22
From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
Repent: Total transformation of your way of life as the result of a complete change of thought, attitude, and behavior.
You need to change. You can be changed.
What could cause me to totally transform my way of life?
The kingdom of heaven has come near.

How can I experience this transformation?
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
Transformation happens as we experience life with Jesus.
Disciple (mathētēs) - apprentice, student, committed learner.
How can I be with Jesus now?
John 14:16-17a
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth.
John 14:26-27
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
To experience life with Jesus, you need to live the lifestyle of Jesus.

The goal of experiencing life with Jesus is to become like Jesus, and do what Jesus taught us to do.
